Veneers can improve the appearance of staining, large gaps, large fillings, chipped teeth, or overall shape. Veneers are thin covers that can be placed over the front of your teeth to change the look, feel, and color. They can be done as a cosmetic alternative to orthodontic treatment or if desired whiteness is not achieved with teeth whitening.
Dental Veneer Process
We begin by preparing your teeth for the veneers. This process includes removing minimal front tooth structure, so they do not look bulky. Scans will then be taken of your teeth and sent to a lab to create custom veneers just for your smile. While your veneers are being made, we will create a temporary crown for you. Once your permanent veneers are completed and delivered to our office, we will seat your veneers to give you the perfect smile!
Veneers can last between 5-10 years with good oral health upkeep. We advise patients to continue brushing their teeth at least twice a day, floss regularly, and be sure to come in for their bi-annual appointments.
Not everyone is a fit for veneers. We recommend alternative treatments if too much tooth structure is lost or the patient wants to fix their alignment with orthodontic treatment. However, if a patient is not satisfied with the look, feel, and color of their teeth and wants to avoid going through the lengthy orthodontic treatment process, veneers may be a fit!
