With the end of the year rapidly approaching and the holiday season nearly upon us, it’s easy to get caught up by all the cheer and the New Year. But amidst all the happiness, don’t forget about your dental benefits. If you’re like many patients, you might forget that your dental insurance typically resets at the end of the year. Any benefits you haven’t used would be lost—as they don’t typically roll over to 2025.

Most dental plans have a cap on benefits, usually ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 annually. You’re paying your monthly premiums yet letting those hard-earned benefits slip through your fingers. Whether you need a simple check-up, preventive care, or a more complex procedure, now’s the perfect time to book your appointment at Infinite Smile Dental and get the most from your dental plan.

Preventive care is your best friend for maintaining a healthy smile. Most insurance plans cover routine check-ups and cleanings at 100%, so you can keep your teeth in top shape without spending a thing. If you’ve been putting off your bi-annual cleaning, don’t wait until January—get it scheduled now and step into the new year with confidence.

Are you considering more extensive treatments, like fillings, crowns, implants, or maybe Invisalign clear braces? The end of the year is an ideal time to take action. Dental procedures can be pricey, but using your benefits can lighten your financial obligation. Give my office manager, Dina, a call to discuss your options and how you can utilize your benefits before they reset.

If you have enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), now is the time to check your balance. FSA and HSA accounts are pre-tax dollars that you have set aside for dental/medical expenses. Remember to spend your remaining funds by the end of the year, as unused funds don’t usually roll over to the following year.

Review your dental insurance to see what treatments are included in your plan and utilize any remaining benefits before they expire. Dina can assist you in answering any questions and help you maximize your benefits.

The holidays are the busiest time at Infinite Smile Dental, as patients want to use their benefits and spend the remaining balance in their HSA and FSA accounts, so appointments are in high demand. We recommend scheduling your visit as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Don’t forget, we’re open every other Saturday for your convenience.
